| SYNOPSIS | Fourteenth century. Santiago, obsessed with a vengeful God, finds his chastity and honesty put through a test of resistance, during his first pilgrimage journey to Santiago de Compostela. Santiago renounces the sins of the flesh but falls victim to a trap. He is unjustly put under arrest and then sentenced to death. This short film was inspired in the legend of Galo de Barcelos, Portugal and in the Legend of Santo Domingo La Calzada, Spain. This short promotes the culture of a people and their identity. In turn the rooster is a symbol of Portuguese tourism known worldwide. |
